All elements of these seats are made of oxygen-free phosphor bronze. The housing is made of PBT (Polybutylene terephthalate) with 30% glass. The sockets are certified for a voltage of 240 V and a current of 16 A. The contacts are made in a special "dual-spring" configuration, developed especially for the SWO-E series. Thanks to the strong pressure and the large contact area (9 mm wide), contact with the pins of the plugs is excellent and, in addition, vibrations are reduced. PBT with 30% glass flake filling was chosen for its remarkable processing and insulating properties. As both the body and the front plate are made of one piece of the same material, high frequency vibration is reduced. Additional metal elements on the back side of the socket help to dissipate heat from the pins. The front is made of polypropylene with high mechanical resistance, additionally reducing vibrations. Its smooth surface improves the aesthetics of the product. All elements, including the fixing screws, are made of non-magnetic metals. Wires with a diameter of up to 2.6 mm can be screwed into the socket.
